Anybody ever played it?
If so, any favourite scenes/characters?
Though... I will mark this here, if people do start posting fave scenes/characters, these are pretty much SPOILERS for those who haven't played so... careful what you read!
Personally, I can't wait for ToS II.
Favourite character? It's so hard to choose but... I do like Kratos xD
Anyways, yeah.

Yes, I've already played it. Finished it too. So I won't post any spoilers, because that game is full of surprises. Best RPG I've played in a long time. My favourite character is Lloyd, just because I was always him in battle and he was the best character to fight with. All the others just had awkward controls. But every character you get in that game has the potential to get really strong, as long as you raise and equip them equally. There are not runt characters in this game!

Never heard of it. But from Neko's review, it's good. What platform is it on? Obviously Wii or Cube, but which? I hope it's cube...

Cube, but I haven't seen it in the stores for a while. You may have to purchase it online somewhere.

Yeah, I definitely suggest buying it. It it INTENSE. I keep getting surprised whenever I play through it again. It's like, 'Woah! THAT happened?' There's A LOT to it.
I was thinking of a ToS comic, actually. Still in planning though.
Definitely recommended.
---------- ... I like Magnius's hair. He really cracked me up. xD

I loved that game. It's especially fun when you have a partner or two to play it with, so you can actually communicate with your other party members and coordinate your fights better. We usually let Raine do her own thing, she was an awesome healer without any help. My sis was always Lloyd and I was always Genis. If one of my friends was over he'd be Kratos/Zelos. I liked Genis cause his attacks are massively powerful, it's just when he's the computer he doesn't cast the right spells or does something stupid like run up to the boss and attack it physically... In ToS II It's great but if you're just playing it by yourself you always have to be the new main character, Emil. My sis found out a way around that though, if you are playing by cube controllers, have a second one plugged in and when it comes to battle time you have the second character in the party the one you want to be and have them on manual. Turn Emil on automatic as soon as the battle starts and there you go

I never played two myself. When I played the first game, I usually played alone. I was always Lloyd, because... let's face it... I rocked with him. Ahem, aaanyway... The second slot was always for Raine. Always. And I varied the last two slots, gave them to whoever I liked. My team was always quite evenly leveled. My siblings did like to play too, but they could only use Kratos/Zelos. So I mostly played alone. You're right about Genis (and the ninja girl too, btw) using the wrong types of attacks on enemies, but I've found that there was an easy way around that. You see, I think the ToS AI was actually VERY good. A great point in case is the fantastic healer Raine. She made almost NO mistakes whatsoever. The others are actually quite smart too, but like you said, sometimes they can make mistakes. Genis could use fire-type moves on something which could easily withstand those. It's because technically he didn't know the weakness, so he was just guessing at it. (Of course, being the computer, he actually DID know the weakness, but that's beside the point.) The way around it is to use that item, with which you can determine the weakness of an enemy, their HP, etc at the beginning of every battle. You can buy them cheap at almost every store, so I always had lots of them. I forgot the item's name, but you guys probably know what I'm talking about. Anyway, after using that item you could see that an enemy was weak against say... wind or something. In my experience Genis would usually start casting wind attacks right after that. He really isn't THAT stupid.

haha, nice. we never used those, since we kinda figured what they were anyway. it was satisfying playing Genis too, I dunno but it was fun mashing A to see a giant explosion, tornado or lightning bolt appear and take out a bunch of enemies. Lol. What's awesome in the second one is they get like CG'd ultimate attacks. When the unison attack bar fills up, if you hold B and use the unison attack, instead time stops and the character you're using does a freakishly powerful attack. It's awesome to use on bosses

I never knew that, but it sounds really neat. Definitely going to try that when I come back home on spring break =3 ... The CG'd attacks, is it like one of Genis's spells... um... I don't remember what it was called, but it was a mix of indignation and something else, I think... Bah, ring any bells?
anyway, haven't played through the second one yet, but I totally intend to as well ;-; I miss my Symphonia.

Genis's is just Indignation, but it's a looot more powerful. The old characters it seems are just skills they have, the new ones have totally new attacks for their's.

I swear, I remember him having a special combination of indignation and something else.
:/
But, were you referring to the new game? Maybe I missed something. I was talking about the old game, where a few of them had a few... interesting attacks.
