Wait, there are comics that don't come from Japan? o.o
That's right, I'm talking about the comic strips that are printed in your newspaper every day! Do you read them for a good laugh in the morning, or when you get home in the afternoon? Do you have any favourites? Do you prefer short, black/white, colour comics? Have you ever cut out a comic strip and kept it? Do you buy the anthologies from the book store? Talk about it here!
I love reading the comics, especially Pearls Before Swine and Foxtrot, but Stone Soup and Zits are also two very cute family-based ones. I try to buy those anthology books of the first two whenever a new one comes out (which seems rare), and I feel like I miss something if I don't read the funnies each morning.
I sometimes get dissapointed when we go on vacation and the local newspaper doesn't have the comics I follow, but it's nice to see new ones, too, hehe. ^^

Meh, I used to read them, but our newspaper keeps switching their comics. So just when you start to get the feel for the comic, they switch it for something else. I don't really like the Dutch Newspaper comics (in either colored or uncolored format), because they just seem somewhat uninspired. They're never funny. I did like Garfield when I was younger, but that comic is geared towards younger readers. I seem to have finally outgrown it.

I do like reading newspaper comics. I don't go out of my way to find one to read though. If there is one laying around at work, I'll read it. I do like Garfield still, and I also like Baby Blues and Zits.

I don't know if it's still printed, but I LOVE Calvin & Hobbes. We (that is to say, my mum and I) have collected 10 or 11 compilation books, and I get a strip e-mailed to me each day for free
