The artist the dominant force of artistic creation must not be trapped and abandoned in the embrace of the art world and its various contributors. The above general principles have never left my mind. Their various nuances and variations not only do not negate them but are an essential element of my personal views.I have not been unfairly accused of writing long texts. That's why this time I will try to adapt to the style and style of the time and be more telegraphic. The content of abstract words is ambiguous and leads to misunderstandings. I would tentatively say that the juxtaposition of the words Style and Style can create confusion.
Let me therefore preface a dividing line. I treat Style for the needs of my own thinking as something negative and Style as something positive. Style is the envelope and Style is the essence. The great Italian director Roberto Rossellini has characteristically said that style is probably a nice e-commerce photo editing thing but if you call a burgundy with a nice style it will remain a burgundy. After a long period where the majority of art lovers judged photographs and matter or form we have entered a new period where their judgment is determined either by the idea which has come to be expressed.
Photographers and the imposed by themselves or by their environment ambition for distinctions and exposure lead to the desperate search for an artistic identity long before they acquire that elusive personal identity. Style is very important because it is the personal tissue that connects the occasion with the result of the photographic act and that justifies the existence and coexistence of a photographer's photographs. If Style precedes action then we are close to applied photography and far from artistic photography. If Style trumpets its presence then we end up with ingenuity and we pour out creation. In even fewer words Style is neither created nor sought after.
