At the rate I've been posting, I should be Nile for a good long time. x3
I was reading through the Pok'emon of the Week section on Serebii, and they had a Choice Band Togekiss build that kinda piqued my interest...

I'm at Sunnyshore on my new copy of Diamond now, all my team are at around level Lv.45. I've got an Empoleon, Honchkrow, Jolteon, Lucario and Typhlosion (the last three my friend traded me in eggs or at Lv.1. Oh and my trust HM slave Bibarrel. Onto the pokemon league I go.

0wo The E4 and Champ on these games are quite a bit tougher than the previous ones. I'd recommend you get your team over 50, possibly even up to 60, before you go to the league. The Champ has Pok'emon around level 70.
Neko: Yeah, I know, I have a typical Special Sweeper Togekiss already. But with Hustle and maxed attack, Togekiss's attack stat isn't bad at all. And I giggle with glee at the thought of some poor sap sending out their special wall to counter (I'm looking at you, Blissey... >w>) and getting slammed with a Choice-banded physical attack instead.

.... *Blissey used COUNTER* That was always my answer to that problem, actually using her poor defenses to her advantage. Each opponent's poke's attack did at least 200 HP worth of damage to her, sometimes more. Nobody ever survived those counters. Period. And my Blissey on Silver had enough HP to take down at least three physical sweepers, and if she got a few Softboiled-s in, even more. Now she's gone too. Deleted when my Silver crashed. @ Raines. You still have to go the E4? How come you have 1st and 2nd gen Pokémon on your team? I had no idea Diamond would let you receive those pokes in trades, before having beaten the E4... I don't think Firered would have allowed that. Hmmm... Guess they changed that in the 4th gen.

No, you can't trade across from GBA games until you've beaten the Elite Four, but I guess that his friend was using Diamond/Pearl, and that they'd beaten the Elite Four.

I just finished the game for the third time. I went through with an all Fire Type Team. That's always fun. (Well, they're all Fire Types except for a Latios who is my Surfer and Flyer.)
I have a Torkoal on that team. I've never trained one seriously before, and I really liked her. Sure, she's slow as heck, but she's got great defense and hits pretty good. And she's cute so that's a bonus.

I've never been brave enough to try playing through the story with a themed team x3
A Torkoal... huh, now I'd kinda like to raise one, I've never even given them a second look to be honest ^^; I think it was because they annoyed me so bad in Ruby, when I was trying to get through Fiery Path the first time.
Agh! Counter Blissey Dx Gah, those things are evil >.> Almost as bad as Seismic Toss Bliss (although either of my Dusknoirs could eat them on a cracker... nehehehe....).
What's really scary is the SkarmBliss combo. I have ways to counter that, but not without some set-up, which I rarely have a chance to do, because I get so flustered in Wi-Fi battles xD

Yeah it was locked in Fire/Leaf so you could only trade with one of the same version untill you got the machine on the Sevii islands running. You couldn't even evolve a Golbat >>> Crobat, it wouldn't allow it. On Diamond you can trade national dex pokemon in eggs so it would be pointless to block trading hatched national dex pokes. Where the pokedex number shows on each pokes data screen it shows ? ? ? but that's the only thing that happens.
